SMSzipper is a end-user oriented application for mobile phones - currently, two versions of the SMSzipper program (implemented in JAVA for MIDP-2.0/CLDC-1.0 capable phones) are available: A free version and the SMSzipperbusiness version, which additionally encrypts SMS using AES.
SMS Compression
The SMSzipper application uses a patent pending algorithm for compression of short text messages. While known algorithms and software for compression of text and data exists, these usually do not compress very short data or text blocks - the technology used for SMSzipper is optimized for short text messages.In addition, the compressor and de-compressor are using external coding models that may be created for specific languages, types of messages, or codes in text based messages or data. This allows the extension of use cases suitable for the SMSzipper technology.

SMSzipper - Free!The basic edition of SMSzipper comes with an interesting range of features that allow you to send and receive compressed SMS, mark your messages with different labels, or even save your private messages password protected. In addition, special SMS allow never known features to be used with SMS.
SMSzipperBUSINESS - Coming Soon!Beyond the basic SMSzipper capabilites, the business edition of the SMSzipper adds security for your SMS messages: It allows to send and receive encrypted SMS.
In opposite to traditional short messages, SMSzipperBUSINESS uses AES encryption to encrypt your SMS. On the one hand side, SMS related to your business are secure while being sent through provider network infrastructures, on the other side, these SMS are sent and received encrypted, requiring a password for reading, and are therefore unaccessible for conscious eyes - even if the mobile phone gets lost.
